This policy explains what personal information Yorkshire Design ("I", "me") collects when you use yorkshiredesign.co.uk, how it is used, and the rights you have over it. What information I collect
This is a content website. You can read everything on it without creating an account or handing over personal details. Information is collected in a small number of situations:
- Contact form, email and phone: if you get in touch, I receive whatever you choose to send — typically your name, email address, phone number and message. I use it to reply to you and, if we work together, to deliver that work.
- Comments: if commenting is enabled on a post and you leave one, the name, email address and comment content you submit are stored, along with your IP address for spam prevention.
- Cookies and advertising data: as described below, advertising partners collect certain data through cookies when you visit, subject to your consent choices.
Advertising and Google AdSense
This website displays advertising served by Google AdSense. You should know the following:
- Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites.

How long I keep information
Enquiry emails are kept for as long as reasonably needed to deal with the enquiry and any work that follows from it. Client records are kept for the duration of the work and for up to six years afterwards for legal and accounting purposes. Cookie lifetimes are controlled by the parties that set them and by your consent choices.
Sharing your information
I do not sell your personal information. It is shared only with service providers needed to run this site, such as the hosting provider and, as described above, Google in connection with advertising, and where the law requires it.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal data I hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email sales@yorkshiredesign.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, though I'd appreciate the chance to resolve any concern directly first.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated from time to time for example, if the tools this site uses change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
