These terms govern your use of yorkshiredesign.co.uk (the "site"), operated by Simon Parker trading as Yorkshire Design, Beaumont, Stonycroft Drive, Arnside, LA5 0EE, United Kingdom. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site.
Using this site
The site provides guides, articles and information about web design, SEO, WordPress, page speed and related topics. You're welcome to read, link to and share the content. You agree not to misuse the site, including attempting to gain unauthorised access, scraping content at scale, introducing malicious code, or using the site in any way that breaks the law.
The guides are information, not guarantees
Everything published here is drawn from genuine experience and is written with care, but websites, plugins, hosting environments and Google's systems all differ and change constantly. The content is provided for general information only, "as is", without warranties of any kind. Before making changes to your own website, particularly anything involving code, plugins, settings or migrations. Take a full backup and, where appropriate, test on a staging site first. You follow any guide at your own risk, and I can't accept responsibility for changes you make to your own or anyone else's website.
Advertising
The site displays advertising served by Google AdSense, which funds the free content. Advertisers and the products or services they promote are not endorsed, vetted or recommended by me, and any dealings you have with an advertiser are between you and them. Guides frequently link to third party websites, tools and documentation because that's useful. I don't control those sites and am not responsible for their content, availability or how they handle your data.
Intellectual property
The content on this site, articles, guides, images I've created, and the site design belongs to Yorkshire Design unless stated otherwise. You may quote brief excerpts with a credit and a link back to the original article. You may not republish articles in full, or use the content to train commercial datasets, without written permission. WordPress, Google and other product names mentioned are trademarks of their respective owners; their use here is descriptive only.
Comments and submissions
If you submit a comment or send material to the site, you confirm it's yours to share and grant me a non-exclusive right to display it. I may edit or remove comments that are spam, abusive or unlawful, at my discretion.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I exclude liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content, including indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, data or rankings. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Where I provide paid services (web design, SEO or similar), those engagements are covered by separate written terms agreed at the time.

I may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top shows the latest revision. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
